Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during service periods. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Help develop new menu items and contribute to seasonal menu planning. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
