Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production and exceptional service. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in food preparation and a desire to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe creation, and food presentation. Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. Help train and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained, cleaned, and operated safely. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations. Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant setting. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and creativity in food preparation. Leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
