Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties efficiently and effectively. Assist in the preparation of meals, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes. Oversee food production processes to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes. Assist in managing kitchen schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak service times.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated skills in team management. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Previous experience in food production is essential; culinary qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
