Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure that all dishes are prepared on time and meet quality expectations. Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
