Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and leading the culinary team to success.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Participate in food preparation and cooking, maintaining high standards of quality and taste. Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends. Ensure efficient service during busy periods by coordinating with front-of-house staff.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for culinary excellence and creativity in dish presentation.
