We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a vital part of our restaurant operations, the Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Duties



Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes Coordinate food preparation activities to optimise efficiency during service hours Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations Support cooking and food presentation as needed, setting an example for team members Serve as a key point of contact during shifts to resolve any operational issues promptly Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any faults or repairs needed

Qualifications



Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
