Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef at Angus Steakhouse, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are consistently maintained. Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure quality and consistency Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve excellence Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Assist in the development of new menu items and specials

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume restaurant Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques Experience in managing and leading a team of kitchen staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen environment Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
