Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vegetarian/ vegan dining, service, and kitchen management, with a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and team supervision. As a key member of our culinary leadership, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety standards, and efficient workflow. Responsibilities



Assist in developing and executing innovative menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to ensure smooth daily operations Oversee food production, ensuring proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste Lead food preparation activities for various service types such as fine dining, catering, and banquets Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations Monitor kitchen operations during shift management to ensure efficiency and quality control Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, staffing schedules, and operational improvements Provide training and mentorship to kitchen staff to foster professional development and teamwork Assist in managing dietary requirements and special requests with attention to detail

Skills



Proven experience in fine dining, banquet service, or catering environments with strong culinary skills Supervising or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting Expertise in food production, menu planning, and kitchen management Knowledge of inventory management and control procedures Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage shift operations effectively Excellent understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices Skilled in food handling, preparation, and presentation techniques Experience with restaurant management systems and inventory software is preferred Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service excellence

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
