We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the head chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Duties



Assist the head chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality of dishes Lead food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes to high standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations Support training programmes for new team members and provide ongoing mentorship to junior staff Ensure all food served is prepared in accordance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant settings Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Experience in food production, restaurant service, and hospitality operations Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and management Previous experience serving or working in a restaurant environment is highly desirable A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 15.00-16.50 per hour
