Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety regulations. Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines. Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Enforce food safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to hygiene protocols.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting. Extensive food production and culinary experience, including food preparation and cooking techniques. Strong background in kitchen management, team leadership, and food safety compliance. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with knowledge of hospitality operations being advantageous. Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is beneficial.
