Duties



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedules Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food production meets quality, presentation, and safety standards in compliance with food safety regulations Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock rotation to minimise waste Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Support menu development by contributing creative ideas and new dish concepts Enforce strict food safety procedures and uphold hygiene standards at all times

Experience



Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production processes Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable Familiarity with serving standards and customer service principles within a culinary context A comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and restaurant workflows

Pay: 35,000.00-39,000.00 per year
