Astoria Kitchen | Salmon of Knowledge, Northern Quarter

Sous Chef | 13.40 p/h + tips & service | 35-40 hours

We're recruiting a Sous Chef to play a vital role in both the preparation & service of our products, & to lead our kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. Working with the Head Chef & wider kitchen team, you'll be tasked with ensuring busy services are managed with efficiency, calmness & quality - whilst overseeing the daily fresh prep & general kitchen tasks. We're looking for a strong leader, who will inspire the kitchen team; help lead the operation; & ultimately grow the brand alongside us.

What's the role?

To support the Head Chef with the safe preparation & service of all foodstuff products & contribute to ensuring an excellent kitchen team performance To assist the Head Chef with the management of inventory by placing orders in accordance with par levels, when necessary To ensure the kitchen is fully compliant with EHO regulations & internal compliance requirements To maximise retention through the pursuit of a positive working culture & environment To work proactively with the Ops team & management to drive the success of the brand
