Sous Chef - Country Inn, Marlborough
Role Overview
We're looking for a creative, passionate Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences at our new Country Inn. You'll play a key role in leading the kitchen team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every dish reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative environment
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet the Inn's high standards
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
Support menu development and introduce new ideas while respecting seasonal and local ingredients
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs efficiently
Act as a visible leader in the kitchen, setting the tone for teamwork and excellence
Who You Are
Experienced in professional kitchen environments, ideally in hotels, restaurants, or boutique inns
Passionate about delivering high-quality, creative, and consistent dishes
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, able to inspire and motivate a diverse team
Knowledgeable in food safety, hygiene, and efficient kitchen operations
Energetic, hands-on, and excited to contribute ideas and drive innovation
