Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Help develop new menu items, contributing creative ideas that align with the restaurant's vision. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a restaurant setting is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, demonstrating versatility in food production. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output consistently. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour during busy service periods. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually learn and improve within the kitchen environment.
