We are looking for a talented and dedicated Senior Sous Chef at Hetland Hall Hotel.

Part of the award-winning, family-owned RAD Hotel Group, Hetland Hall Hotel is a beautiful country house hotel located in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. We are passionate about providing our guests with unforgettable experiences and are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
Responsibilities
Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence, taking full responsibility for kitchen operations, including staff supervision, food quality, and service delivery
Oversee and manage all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
Lead, mentor, and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Help manage inventory, ordering, and stock control, working to achieve budgeted gross profit and minimise waste
Contribute to a friendly, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture
What you'll need:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality establishment, ideally within a hotel environment. Experience with conference, banqueting, and events catering is a plus
Exceptional culinary skills and a keen eye for detail
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to go the extra mile
Honest, reliable, and possessing strong integrity
