Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in all dishes served
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
Support in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
Lead by example in food preparation, cooking, and presentation to motivate the team
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to enhance customer experience
Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a busy kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and culinary arts
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively within a hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Experience in serving customers or working within a hospitality context is advantageous
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
