We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to organisational standards.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and quality in flavour, presentation, and portion control.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and minimise waste through effective utilisation of ingredients.
Train junior staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes that align with current trends and customer preferences.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff under pressure.
Proficient in food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
Strong cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility in hospitality settings.
