Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of performance. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to ensure the availability of ingredients. Support staff training programmes to uphold best practices in food production and safety. Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and seasonal specials. Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.50-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
