Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standard, following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
Lead and manage the kitchen team in the
Head Chef's absence
, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining consistency, quality, and timing during busy service periods.
Create and manage
prep lists
to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently.
Take responsibility for
placing and checking orders
, stock rotation, and inventory management.
Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene at all times.
Uphold food safety regulations and ensure all staff adhere to proper health and safety procedures.
Support and train junior chefs and kitchen team members, fostering a positive and professional environment.
Contribute creative ideas for specials, new dishes, and seasonal menu updates.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a
Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
in a professional kitchen.
Strong culinary skills with attention to quality, detail, and presentation.
Confident in managing kitchen operations and leading a team when required.
Knowledge of
ordering systems, stock control, and prep list management
.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
A genuine passion for food, creativity, and professional development.
