We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment, supporting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to organisational standards
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and quality standards
Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all culinary offerings
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies
Support the training of junior staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Demonstrated ability to manage team dynamics effectively and lead by example
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments effectively
Passion for delivering high-quality food experiences and exceptional customer service
