Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes.
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer experience.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
Support the development of new menu items and seasonal specials in collaboration with the culinary team.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
Demonstrable experience working in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and service standards.
