Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations and food preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety and culinary techniques. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food production and presentation.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that delight our guests. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality and safety standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and teamwork. Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Help manage food production schedules to optimise efficiency during peak service times. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety standards. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-17.00 per hour
