We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Lead food production activities, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Coordinate with front-of-house team to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to minimise waste
Support in developing new menu items and culinary innovations
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any faults or repairs needed
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to commercial kitchens
Experience in serving guests and understanding customer service standards is advantageous
