We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to recipes
Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Support the development of new menu items and culinary initiatives
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste
Uphold a positive team environment that promotes professionalism and teamwork
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive food preparation, cooking, and culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Experience in food production, menu development, and restaurant operations
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service excellence in hospitality settings
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is essential
