We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the head chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional service. Duties
Assist the head chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs and kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Support team management by training new staff members and providing ongoing coaching to improve skills and performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of food handling procedures.
Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary setting, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Experience in food presentation and serving to meet high-quality standards.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
