Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation and presentation of a diverse range of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment. Manage food production processes, including portion control, plating, and presentation standards. Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Support the development of menus in collaboration with the Head Chef, incorporating innovative ideas while maintaining operational feasibility. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, adhering to hygiene standards. Assist in serving food during busy periods or special events as required.

Requirements



Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Demonstrable experience in food safety practices and compliance with hygiene standards. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service through outstanding culinary offerings. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed. Pay: 45,000.00-48,000.00 per year
