We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards across all menu items
Support in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness within the kitchen environment
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive food preparation, cooking, and culinary experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working atmosphere
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A genuine passion for cuisine, innovation, and delivering memorable dining experiences
Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are advantageous
