Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of vehicle operation, and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. Experience with flatbed and van driving is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate delivery vehicles, including flatbeds and vans, in a safe and responsible manner. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while following scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues. Assist in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle as required. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles when necessary.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle maintenance tasks. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while adhering to deadlines. Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial but not essential.
