Space Wellbeing Administrative Assistant

Job Description

We wish to recruit an Administrative Assistant to join the SPACE Wellbeing Service in Gwent. The post available is for 30 hours of which 22.5 hours will be based in Blaenau Gwent and then supporting the Gwent SPACE Wellbeing service as needed.



It is a very busy but friendly and supportive team and we need someone who is able to support us with the service that we provide for children and young people's emotional and mental health wellbeing.



You need to be well organised and practical and must have:



excellent verbal and written communication skills



excellent keyboard skills and excellent IT skills with the ability to use all Microsoft packages with confidence



experience of an office / reception environment is desirable as is a calm, patient and polite telephone manner



be able to work to deadlines



be interested in the well being of children and young people



be able to work on your own initiative when the need arises

To act as a point of contact for the SPACE Wellbeing Service dealing with families and professionals enquiries. This can include telephone and email enquiries.



Maintain and administer referrals.



To ensure all messages are accurately recorded.



To provide administrative support including word processing, typing, filing and photocopying etc.



To attend meetings, record accurate minutes, type and distribute as required.



To carry out confidential duties for the SPACE Wellbeing Co-Ordinator.



To screen telephone messages and requests for information prioritising and referring on to appropriate staff as required.



To maintain the confidential storage of all children or young people's related information and documentation.



To maintain all equipment and stationery requirements for the SPACE Wellbeing service.
