This is more than welding.
This is precision electron beam welding for components that must survive extreme conditions, power critical missions, and enable aerospace and defence projects that push the boundaries of technology.
Join an EBW team produces high-integrity, mission-critical parts used by international space agencies, defence organisations, and top-tier commercial programmes. The components you craft will play a direct role in projects that make a real-world impact where precision meets purpose.
You will operate, maintain, and optimise cutting-edge EBW machines in a cleanroom environment, ensuring every weld is flawless. Your skill and attention to detail will shape assemblies that perform under pressure because in this role, perfection is the only option.
With demand for world-class welding expertise soaring, our client's team is growing -this is your chance to join a collaborative, innovation-driven environment where your talent is recognised, developed, and celebrated.
THE ROLE: Spacecraft Welder Technician
This is a unique opportunity to use your welding expertise on mission-critical space hardware.
As an Welder Technician, you will operate advanced welding systems within our cleanroom facility, producing ultra-precise welds on metals and super alloys that must perform flawlessly in space.
Your work will directly support propulsion systems used in major international missions.
If you thrive on precision, enjoy solving technical challenges and want your work to become part of history-making spacecraft THEN this role is for YOU.
What You'll Be Doing
Operating, monitoring and maintaining welding machinery for high-precision aerospace components
Preparing, aligning and inspecting materials to tight spaceflight specifications
Conducting visual, mechanical and non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds
Troubleshooting welding equipment issues and performing routine maintenance
Documenting weld processes, materials, settings and quality data
Working closely with engineering, production and QA teams
Ensuring full compliance with safety and high-voltage equipment procedures
Safely handling acids during weld sample evaluation
Contributing to the smooth integration of welding within the wider manufacturing process
Why This Role Matters
Every weld you complete may become part of a thruster or propulsion system that:
? Steers a spacecraft into precise orbit
? Corrects course millions of kilometres from Earth
? Operates reliably in extreme temperatures and vacuum
? Enables satellite networks, deep-space exploration and scientific discovery
Your precision directly influences mission success.
Your craftsmanship becomes part of spaceflight history.
This is engineering with purpose.
