Roles and Responsibilities

• Individualized Planning: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that are tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Differentiated Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Behavior Management: Utilize effective strategies to manage and support students' emotional and behavioral needs, promoting a positive classroom culture.
• Assessment and Reporting: Regularly assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide clear feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to create a cohesive support network for each student.
• Resource Management: Select and create appropriate teaching resources and materials that meet the diverse needs of the students.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold a valid Qualified Teacher Status and have experience teaching students with special educational needs.
• Expertise in SEN: A strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and proven experience in supporting students with them.
• Patience and Empathy: The ability to connect with students on a personal level and approach challenges with a calm and understanding demeanor.
• Creativity and Adaptability: A knack for thinking outside the box to create innovative and effective teaching strategies.
• Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Resilience: The capacity to handle the unique demands of the role with grace and determination.
