We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join an innovative team. This role is a vital part of creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with a range of needs. You'll work closely with teachers and other staff to provide one-on-one and small-group support, helping to adapt learning materials, manage classroom behavior, and foster a positive atmosphere where every student feels valued and understood.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide Direct Support: Work with individual students or small groups, helping them to understand and complete classroom tasks.
  • Adapt Learning Materials: Assist in modifying lesson plans and resources to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Support Positive Behavior: Implement strategies to encourage positive behavior and manage challenging situations with patience and skill.
  • Promote Inclusion: Help to ensure that students with SEN are fully integrated into all school activities.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and effective support system.
  • Track Progress: Maintain records of student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

  • Experience (Desirable but not Essential): Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is a plus, but we welcome applications from compassionate individuals who are eager to learn and grow.
