Job Title: Special Education Needs TA (SEN TA)
Location: Bovington
Salary: 13.68 - 16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are pleased to be recruiting caring, committed, and enthusiastic individuals for the position of SEN Teaching Assistant at a supportive and inclusive school in Bovington. This is a rewarding role where you will help children with additional needs--such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) challenges--thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN TA:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver differentiated resources and follow individual education plans (IEPs).
• Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional well-being.
• Assist pupils with speech, language, communication, and sensory needs.
• Track progress and share feedback with teaching staff and families.
• Promote independence, confidence, and life skills in daily routines.
• Contribute to a calm, secure, and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal Candidate Requirements of the SEN TA:

• A caring and adaptable approach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
• Ability to follow directions from senior staff while using initiative to engage pupils effectively.
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-related qualification is desirable.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
