"Special needs assistant/Early Years Educator" position available at Roly Poley's Nursery in Middleton. This role is vital in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for our young learners.

This position would be suitable for an early years educator who is looking to returning to work in an early years setting, or someone who would like to specialise in SEND

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual progress. Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations. Lead by example in demonstrating best practices in childcare and early childhood education. Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery programs and activities

Qualifications

Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Relevant level 3 qualification in early years or childcare. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards children with SEND Fluency in English is required for effective communication.

You have experience working or supporting children with SEND You have experience of supporting speech and language difficulties. You are able to follow a plan that is put in place by the SEND team. You are on the DBS update system and have paediatric first aid You can take direction from the Nursery SENCO. You can develop good relationships with children's parents. You are adaptable, friendly and patient. You are a team player. You can have fun!
Salary dependent on experience and skill

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
