To work Monday-Friday 9.00am-3.30pm (x1 position)
13.00-15.00 an hour depending on qualifications and experience.
To supervise and provide support for a pupil with SEN in our KS1 class, ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
Assist in the development implementation of Targeted learning Plans
Establish constructive relationships with the pupil and interact with them according to individual needs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Encourage pupil to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and
Independence
Provide feedback in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance
of the SENCO/Class Teacher/Deputy Head
Deliver pastoral and learning support
Support the child with the KS1 Curriculum and have a good level of Maths and English.
Use strategies, in liaison with the SENCO/Class Teacher/Deputy Head, to support pupil to achieve learning goals
Assist with the planning of learning activities
Monitor pupil's responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
Provide detailed and regular feedback to SENCO/Deputy Head on pupil's achievement, progress and any problems
Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy
Establish and maintain constructive relationship with parents/carers by supporting their role in pupil's learning, providing constructive feedback on pupil's progress and achievements
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children that you are responsible for or come into contact with
A good level of English and maths
A childcare qualification would be desirable
Proven successful experience of working with children in an educational setting.
Experience of working with SEN children.
