About Us



West Park School is a large 4 form entry Primary. Inclusion is central to our school ethos and is led by an inclusion leader, SENCO, teacher in charge of the SSCs and a pastoral manager.



We have two Special Support Centres: one for children with Physical Disabilities (PD) and one for children with Communication and interaction difficulties (COIN). The special support centre has a capacity for 24 children in total, most of which are fully integrated into the mainstream school. We are lucky to have a newly built provision 'The Willows', with access to a designated outdoor play area, a physiotherapy space and a state-of-the-art sensory room and sensory garden.



We are looking to appoint a Teacher for the COIN SSC 'Willows' provision as soon as possible. Under the leadership of the teacher in charge, you will teach a small early years/KS1 group in 'The Willows' provision, with a view to expanding this to include interventions and in the future KS2 pupils.

Salary:

21,421 - 28,883 approx.

What You Need to Succeed



To be successful in this role you will need to:


Be an excellent classroom practitioner Have a passion for/experience of working with children with communication and interaction difficulties Have confidence in teaching KS1 with a view to progressing to teaching KS2 teaching in the future Have confidence in delivering interventions.
