Job Description

You will:

Be responsible for the provision of a specialist dietetic service in the acute hospital setting. Work in a variety of clinical settings on a rotational basis including inpatient gastroenterology wards, gastroenterology outpatient clinics, acute surgical and oncology wards, radiotherapy and chemotherapy units, the acute admissions unit and acute medical & renal wards, high dependency and critical care units. Be a key member of the multidisciplinary teams and attend multidisciplinary meetings. Provide nutritional support to patients including management of oral nutrition support, enteral feeding, and home enteral feed discharges.

Complete competencies relevant to each rotation. Supervise and support junior dietitians, dietetic assistants, and student dietitians. Undertake clinical audit and quality improvement projects in your specialist area. Attend regular internal CPD sessions.
