Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Bradford Multi-Agency Integrated Front Door sitting within the Children and Families Trust.



The Integrated Front Door is a point of contact for members of the public or professionals who have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child or young person.



The aim of the Specialist Practitioner within the Integrated Front Door (IFD) is to provide relevant information and health expertise in order to contribute to the multi-agency safeguarding responses to calls coming into the IFD.



Therefore, applicants should:



have significant safeguarding experience of working across the local health economy and with partner agencies



have excellent communication and interpersonal skills



be able to analyse and evaluate complex information and assess the level of risk posed to children and young people



be able to advise partner agencies about the health needs and risks of children and young people.



The successful applicant will be line managed by the Head of Safeguarding in BDCFT, but will be hosted within the Children and Families Trust.



The aim of the Integrated Front Door (IFD) is to improve multi-agency

safeguarding responses and to promote the welfare of children and young people through the timely exchange of proportionate and accurate information following an enquiry by any professional, member of the public or voluntary agency. The post holder will be integral to this aim.

To contribute to the effective safeguarding of children as part of the IFD team, through provision of health expertise, information and advice to inform safeguarding multi-agency discussions and decision making. Analysis of health information in relation to safeguarding risk and mitigation to inform the best child/family outcomes. To collate health data and intelligence to inform population needs and service delivery requirements.
