Job Description
Guildford Borough Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Allocations Officer to join our Housing Advice and Allocations team.This is a permanent full time post with flexible hours and hybrid working arrangementsAn essential car user allowance and parking space is available.What youxe2x80x99ll do on a typical day:
- Following the advertising of social housing for both Housing Association and our own housing stock you will allocate this in line with our allocation scheme
- Arrange accompanied viewings at empty properties with prospective tenants
- Liaise with our technical officers regarding work required in the empty properties
- Ensure the gas and electricity supply is available in the empty properties
- Arrange and monitor assessments of housing applicants.
- Deal with vulnerable people with disabilities to support them to secure appropriate accommodation
- Provide statistics and reports using our housing software system MRI.
