About the role




We are looking for an experienced nurse and independent prescriber to join our multidisciplinary clinical team, and support our digital services for patients living with chronic weight-related conditions.


This is a hybrid role, combining patient care within our weight management service, with an expanded role in supporting clinical governance across Liva's programmes.


The role sits within the Clinical and Research Team and reports to the Medical Director, working closely with the Service Operations Team. The role will collaborate across departments to ensure the safe and effective delivery of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities





Conduct remote patient consultations within our weight management service Manage patients prescribed GLP-1 and related medications, from initiation, dose titration and ongoing monitoring Act as part of an multidisciplinary team, working closely with dieticians, doctors and support staff. Support the continuous improvement and effective operation of Liva's clinical governance frameworks and activities. Act as first point of escalation for clinical or prescribing concerns across Liva's programmes Support the delivery and ongoing development of Liva's safeguarding processes, contributing to safeguarding leadership as appropriate Contribute to service development and quality improvement, refining processes and supporting new pathway design. Stay up to date with national guidance and ensure best practice is reflected in company policies and clinical operations.

Essential criteria





UK-based, with NMC registration Demonstrable experience in working in weight management, diabetes and/or general practice settings Independent Prescriber qualification (e.g. V300), with proven experience of active prescribing. Demonstrable experience independently prescribing anti-obesity medication, including GLP1s Demonstrable experience of participation in clinical governance or quality improvement activities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience of participation in safeguarding activities Confidence with remote consulting and using electronic systems

Desirable criteria





Experience working in digital healthcare Level 3 Adult and Child Safeguarding certification (this must otherwise be completed during onboarding) Understanding of CQC regulatory framework SCOPE certification

We think this role would best suit an experienced practice or diabetes/weight management nurse with additional prescribing qualifications, or an ANP with experience of chronic disease management.


This role would mostly be performed remotely with a requirement to come to our London office on occasion, and we would be open to full time or part-time (80%).
