Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic occupational therapist to join our small friendly team .



We want someone who is passionate about working with children and young people, in outpatient and community settings, including patient homes , early years settings and schools ( mainstream and specialist)



We provide care that is evidence based and delivered with the child and family at the centre.



So if you want to work as a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist as part of a multidisciplinary team with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and support workers, please get in touch. The role is open to those who do not have extensive paediatric experience, but have transferable skills and attributes. A development post may be considered for the right candidate.



To assess children's and young peoples needs for further occupational therapy interventions and equipment.



To deliver interventions and provide specialist equipment for children and young people



To work flexibly and in an agile way to best meet the needs of the caseload.



To follow clinical pathways and procedures relating to the service .



To contribute to service governance and development.



To fulfil statutory SEND responsibilities



To act within professional boundaries and access professional development.



To ensure Occupational Therapy interventions are delivered in line with professional guidelines and evidence



To contribute to team, MDT service , OT professional , and AHP governance and development



To respond to and escalate issues, risks, adverse events, concerns and complaints as appropriate to scope of practice.
