Position Summary:



We're looking for a Production Planning Specialist to manage and optimise production schedules that balance customer demand, capacity, and resources. You'll turn monthly supply plans into clear, achievable daily and weekly production plans , ensuring the right materials, people, and equipment are ready to deliver on time and to the highest standards.


You'll work closely with supply planning, production supervisors, and operations to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.


What You'll Do



Develop and implement production plans to maximise the use of the organisation's resources and meet established production schedules and quality standards. Monitor production activity so that the flow of materials is timed to meet production requirements. Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, material or labour shortages. Plan the day-to-day allocation of work orders to Production Lines to efficiently, safely and cost-effectively achieve production targets . Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules. Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, design changes, and material or labour shortages. Produce schedules and production plans and estimate the human resources, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture products. Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and calculate machine and operator loads. Monitor production activity and analyse production data so that the flow of materials meets production requirements. Create and maintain a safe and positive work environment. Utilise a root cause, problem-solving methodology in the investigation of non-conforming processes And: Any other duties deemed necessary by Management

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain , Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). 3 -5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related manufacturing operations role. Strong understanding of manufacturing capacity, resource planning, and material flow. Experience of working closely with supply planning and production teams . Proficiency in ERP or production planning systems. Travel Percentage: None
