-This role will support the identification and management of transfer pricing risks, issues and opportunities arising across the group and to design and implement appropriate policies with associated governance in line with the changing regulatory environment for transfer pricing. This extends to delivery of transfer pricing related compliance obligations and supporting on transfer pricing related tax authority engagement.


Key Responsibilities include:


Support and maintain the group's transfer pricing strategy & associated governance capable of application to cross-border transactions across the group. Drive and implement the plan of strategic initiatives, including consideration of the communication required at different levels of the organisation. Support the identification, development, and deployment of global and local tax projects and initiatives. Identify and develop opportunities to enhance processes and consider how risk impacts Anglo American. Develop strong working relationships with key personnel across the Group Tax team and business operations. Engage with and manage external professional service providers on TP matters. Support/deliver transfer pricing compliance activity globally, setting standards and requirements to relevant process owners, compliance practitioners, technology leads and/ or co-source providers as necessary. Support development and deployment of appropriate tools, processes and governance to support the management of transfer pricing risk, including through the group's Tax Control Framework. Design, develop and deploy global training in respect of transfer pricing matters. Provide technical and/ or other support as required to support the resolution of transfer pricing disputes within the group, including on APAs and MAPs and engaging with local teams and tax authorities. Provide proactive appropriate transfer pricing advice to relevant parts of the Group, including corporate functions and the wider Group Tax team to identifying risk and opportunities and developing and implementing advice and/ or solutions. Support the development of optimal transfer pricing policy for new business models Identify the need for and share best practice technical standards, positions and documentation requirements to support the advice being provided by Group Tax teams.

Qualifications

-A financial accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) or equivalent professional qualification
Technical Skills


Minimum 6 years transfer pricing experience Strong technical knowledge of transfer pricing, and experience in Operational Transfer Pricing a plus Good working knowledge of international tax principles, including understanding of the impact of the changing transfer pricing and tax landscape globally
Ability to:


Ability to effectively communicate and articulate complex tax analysis to the Business and to present viable solutions to issues and risk. Demonstrate strategic thinking - ability to analyse complex and wide-ranging issues, design strategies to manage those issues and develop ideas into practical solutions. Demonstrate well-developed analytical, planning, and problem solving skills Demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen Ability to work independently and lead projects Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team and at all levels of the organisation
