We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a

Specialty Doctor

for our substance misuse treatment service in Lancashire. As a Specialty Doctor, you will work under the Consultant Psychiatrist for the service, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care for clients from both services.

The post-holder will work under the Consultant Psychiatrist & the Clinical Leads for the service and have responsibility to work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care for client of both services, contributing to the service to ensure that service users consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards.

Hours:

Full-time, 37.5hrs per week

Full Time Salary:

90,317.14 - 101,316.49 dependent on experience

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:


our responsibilities will include:

Clinical Assessments:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical health assessments.

Medical Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and correspondence.

Collaborative Working:

Liaise with GPs, adult mental health services, social services, and prison healthcare.

Specialist Prescribing:

Initiate and oversee prescribing regimes in line with national guidelines.

Phlebotomy & BBV Support:

Conduct tests as needed and support vaccination programs.

Safe Titration:

Work alongside the nursing team to ensure safe induction onto treatment.

Multidisciplinary Team Meetings:

Contribute to care planning, risk management, and integrated care pathways.

About You




We are looking for a doctor who is

passionate about delivering high-quality care

and committed to improving outcomes for people with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have:

Medical Degree

with completion of Basic Medical Training and

Full GMC Registration with License to Practice

. Experience in delivering

evidence-based treatments for substance misuse

. Strong knowledge of

addiction psychiatry, harm reduction, and relevant legislation

. Excellent

clinical communication and interpersonal skills

. The ability to

work autonomously and remain calm under pressure

. A collaborative approach, working with a

diverse range of partners and stakeholders

.
