Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Specification Engineer to support the specification strategy for our product lines, including structural thermal breaks, shear dowels, punching shear and rebar continuity systems. Act as a key liaison between our technical team, sales, architects, structural engineers, specifiers and main contractors to drive adoption of our solutions into construction projects at the design stage.

Qualification required:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

Drive Specifications: Secure project specifications for the company's structural reinforcement product lines through direct engagement with architects, structural engineers and consultants. Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical guidance for products such as structural thermal break elements and shear dowels to all key client stakeholders including and not limited too engineers, contractors, colleagues and site staff. Engage with client commercial and contracting teams to help protect specifications through value engineering through the procurement phases. Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and ensure early product inclusion in project designs. Pipeline and Project Tracking: Use Salesforce (CRM) and other sales related tools for project-tracking and pipeline creation. Analyse reinforcement enquiries to ensure key stakeholders are contacted. Proactively contact new stakeholders to introduce client reinforcement connection solutions. Maintain a robust pipeline of specification opportunities from early design stages through to construction.

Location:

The ideal candidate needs to be based in the Southeast with the expectation to travel across the UK visting client's offices, sites and engineers, as required.

Target Customers:

Target Customers Specifiers -

Our client often work with contractors to change specifications, so work with structural engineers on approvals. We also work with structural engineers to develop specifications for our client and actively target engineers' practices to this end.

Target Customers Contractors -

Sector is ground works and concrete frame structures - can be main contractors, but is usually specialist sub-contractors our client Supply to.

Salary of up to 65,000
