Summary

We are seeking an experienced Specifications Technologist to join our team based in Nottingham.

Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will be responsible for delivering technical Specifications across our two factories for both business to business and Retail customers.

Responsibilities

To assist in the development of product specifications for new business from concept to launch. To review, maintain, and update current specifications. Act as the central contact for Specifications and artwork queries at both our Nottingham and Scunthorpe sites. Complete customer questionnaire on raw materials. Work Closely with the Commercial and Production Teams to develop, maintain and update internal specifications.

Qualifications

Ideally educated to HND level or equivalent professional qualification. Possess a level 3 food safety and level 2 HACCP certifications A minimum of 1 years knowledge and experiences of writing specifications for customers in food manufacturing. Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and application Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written understanding of the English language. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ensure information is effectively communicated to other Departments. Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Excel and possess the ability to maintain and manage supplier records and data and navigate with ease customer's web-based specification programmes is essential. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to prioritise and handle multiple assignments at any given time and work effectively under pressure. A Valid Clean Driving Licence essential.
