Job Description

We're looking for a qualified and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join our expert multidisciplinary team at InFocus Charity in Exeter. You'll help support young people aged 16-25 with vision impairment and complex needs to communicate, connect and thrive.

About the role

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity in a truly specialist setting. You'll:

Deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions Delegate work to and support a Speech and Language Assistant Train and collaborate with our experienced team of Enablers Develop person-centred communication plans and interventions Apply imaginative, evidence-based practice to support individual needs
No two days are the same, and your input will play a vital role in maximising outcomes for our young people.

About you

You'll be:

A qualified and HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist Experienced working in multidisciplinary teams Skilled in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) strategies A confident communicator with strong planning and documentation skills Person-centred, reflective and eager to make a real difference
Bonus points if you bring additional experience in Makaton, Dysphagia, Sensory Integration or other specialist areas!

Working pattern

21 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time only) Flexible scheduling options can be discussed at interview
