We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and demonstrate a commitment to helping individuals improve their communication skills. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in various populations, including children and adults. The Speech Therapist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals.
Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to enhance clients' communication skills.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Educate clients and their families about speech disorders and the therapeutic process.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment sessions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for clients.
Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in speech therapy practices.
Experience
A recognised qualification in Speech Therapy or equivalent is essential.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders is required.
Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is advantageous but not mandatory for newly qualified therapists.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
