About the Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

Working directly with children, often in small groups or one-to-one. Supporting the delivery of tailored speech and language therapy plans. Modelling programmes of support to school staff where appropriate. Assisting with preparation of therapy materials and resources. Keeping clear records of sessions and pupil progress. Liaising with school staff and feeding back on pupil support. Attending supervision and training as part of your development.

Genuinely interested in helping children develop their communication skills. Well-organised and confident working independently in school settings. A good communicator, able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils. Flexible, reliable and willing to adapt to different environments. Reflective and open to learning - this role offers plenty of support and development.
This role might suit someone from an education or care background (such as a teaching assistant or early years practitioner), or a graduate in a relevant subject looking to gain experience in speech and language therapy.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as you'll be travelling between schools.

Enjoy school holidays off, or we can be flexible and additional working days across the year could be an option.
