We're now looking for a
Speedy Hire Desk Controller
to be based within the
Speedy office in Haydock
, acting as an embedded Garic representative. You'll play a vital role in promoting our products and services across the Speedy network--driving revenue, strengthening relationships, and delivering the exceptional service we're known for.
What You'll Be Doing
As the main point of contact between
Garic
and
Speedy
, you will:
Handle inbound hire and off-hire enquiries (phone, email, MS Teams).
Qualify customer needs, upsell/switch-sell products, and build strong working relationships.
Accurately process orders and ensure all admin and records are complete.
Liaise with internal teams to check stock, availability, and transport requirements.
Promote Garic's products and services in a proactive, customer-centric manner.
Provide reporting on SLA and KPI performance as required.
Act as a single point of contact for customer queries and ensure their resolution.
Represent both companies with professionalism and a "one team" mindset.
Meet defined sales targets, KPIs, and service level metrics.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Previous experience in a customer service, hire desk, or fast-paced operations role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Highly organised, accurate, and accountable.
Desirable:
Previous experience in the plant/tool hire, welfare, or construction equipment sectors.
Understanding of SLA and KPI reporting.
Experience with change management or improvement initiatives.
